SK8 Tyres offers a fast and professional mobile tyre fitting service to private and business vehicle owners across Cheshire, including Alderley Edge, Altrincham, Knutsford and Wilmslow.
We supply and fit tyres to suit all makes and models of cars and light commercial vehicles and all budgets, including specialist tyres for electric and hybrid cars and vans. We use silent compressors so our work doesn’t disturb anyone in the vicinity of wherever we’re called to, and our response time is 60-90 minutes where possible.

This tyre was taken off a car that was manufactured in 2008 and as you can see by the month and date on the tyre, it is the original tyre fitted on the car from new.
Although the tread is still good there is a big crack all the way round the tyre making it very dangerous.
The British standard replacement date is 7-10 years old so please have a look at your tyres and if not sure nip down and we will do a free safety check.

Your post just proved that time travel exist and is possible as the production date accordingly is some 18000 years on the future. Perhaps it's why the owner thought it will get better with age?!??! 🤔😉 But yes, tyre manufacturer recommend to replace tyres older than 5 years, with some tyre types even to be replaced after 3 years

We need YOUR excellent customer service and fast fit skills (because WE have excellent customers. Lots of them).
We’re looking for a highly experienced fast fit technician to work in our very busy garage. Cheadle Tyre And Auto Ltd is a family-run company with an excellent reputation locally. We’ve been here nearly twenty years, and our customers come back again and again. That means it’s a great place to work - and a lot of responsibility to look after our customers’ cars well.
To join our happy team, not only will you need those excellent customer service skills and first-class mechanic talents, but a can-do attitude and a cracking work ethic. Day-to-day duties will include:
• Tyre fitting
• Tyre repairs
• Wheel alignment
• Brakes
• Suspension work
• Exhausts
• Light service work.
Own tools and a clean driving licence would be an advantage. Salary will depend on experience, in the region of £25,000-£30,000 and normal hours are 8.00-5.00 Mon-Fri and 8.00-12.00 Sat.
We’ll look after you every bit as well as we look after our customers - we want you to enjoy coming to work. Other benefits include a pension, loyalty bonus, and your birthday as an extra day off.

Reason: Was informed by BMW garage that I had a nail in my (almost new) tyre during an MOT. They couldn’t supply one, so I called SK8 Tyres who arranged to fit a new one in my work car park. The technician arrived when stated and informed me that the nail was simply stuck horizontally in the tread and the tyre wasn’t punctured. Swiftly removed, checked for leaks and all was well. Saved over £200. Thanks for the great service.
